Text Box: You don’t need special shoes for Zumba®, however we recommend that you practice this exciting workout with shoes that offer good support to your arch and heel, as well as a smooth sole. The arch and heel support will help you to prevent injuries in your joints, and the smooth sole will help you to perform the moves easily.
Try not to use running shoes or shoes with a lot of traction, you could trip and hurt yourself.

Personally, I used the “capezio®” shoes, like the ones on the picture. These are affordable and very comfortable, you can search them on the internet as “dance shoes”, or find them at any dance wear store.

I got mine through allaboutdance.com

Text Box: I was born and raised in Mexico City. I enjoy to dance to the latin rhythms and even though I am not or trying to be a dancer. I certainly know how to Zumba®!
I hold a FiTOUR Primary Group Exercise Instructor Certification since 2004 and a Zumba® Instructor Certification since 2006.
I am an Industrial Engineer with a full time job at NCSU. Enjoy to travel, sing, dance, and spend time with my wonderful husband, family and friends.
Hope you get to love Zumba® as much as I do.

Hi there!

Do you know I have been teaching Zumba® for over a year now?  My first class was held on March 8, 2007.   Thanks for making it possible!

As you are the reason of the success of my classes, I would like to hear about your Zumba® experience. Why you like it? why you keep coming back? what impact has Zumba® made in your life?

If you are interested on sharing your Zumba® experience, please send me your picture (optional), and testimonial to: noramilley@yahoo.com , I will review it and post it on my soon to be launched website.

What is the deal with Cinco de Mayo??

Cinco de Mayo is not the Mexican Independence.

This holiday celebrates the victory of a battle against the French army in  Puebla, Mexico in 1862.

This part of Mexican History is quite complicated, and I won’t confuse you.

Actually, in Mexico, this is not a big holiday, but now that I live in USA,  Why not celebrate the holiday?   Isn’t life about celebrating anyway??

Let’s celebrate at our Zumba classes!
