Text Box: Are you including Weight Training in your workout routine?

My loyal readers,

You can’t imagine the joy I get when I hear that you miss my Newsletter and ask me: when is the next one coming out, or if I forgot to send it to you. Believe me! It means the world to me to know that you like to read what I have to say.

I am blessed to have so much work these days when the economy is going through tough times all over the nation.  My full time job is keeping me really busy, and with Zumba… I am even busier!

I have also some personal projects that are taking some time as well, not sure if I will accomplish everything I have planned this year, but at least I will get started.

Even though I am busy, I am committed to keep giving you the best Zumba experience ever! Be patient!  I may have to space out the timeframe between Newsletters, but you will get the information you need when you need it!

Thanks for understanding and your continuing support!

Zumba love,

Nora Janette Milley

Text Box: I was born and raised in Mexico City. I love the latin music and to move to its beat, I am not at all a professional dancer, but I am certainly an official Zumba instructor!
I also hold an IFTA Group Exercise Instructor Certification.
I am an Industrial Engineer with a full time job at NCSU. Enjoy to travel, sing, dance, and spend time with my husband, family and friends.
Text Box: Training for a race???
Text Box: Weight training is extremely important to maintain good health.
Increases your basal metabolism, what makes you burn calories even while you sleep!!!
Well performed weight training improves your posture, balance and coordination among a lot of other benefits as strengthening your muscles and bones.
And my top two: will get you in a good mood, and you will look great!
Weight training is as important as cardio, just make sure to be supervised by a qualified person so you don’t get hurt and to let your muscles rest at least 24 hours in between weight trainings.

Zumba® with Nora - Newsletter

If you are planning on training for a race, make sure you talk to the experts, or at least to people that had experience racing for a while,  you need advise so you don’t get injured in the process or at the race.

Also remember to start the training slow, don’t try to run too fast or too much at the beginning, listen to your body and if you feel out of breath… slow down!  Everybody has a different pace and also is different every day.  One day we may feel great and run without any struggle and the next day the same run may seem exhausting!  One more thing, watch what you eat, you may find that some foods or drinks make you feel heavier or slower. Good luck and let me know if I can be of any help.
